CNC Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a CNC Router Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC routing machines to cut, shape, and trim a variety of non-wood materials, including metals, plastics, composites, and other engineered materials.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC routing machines according to job specifications and blueprints.
  • Load and secure materials on the machine bed, ensuring precise alignment and stability.
  • Monitor the machining process, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC router operator, particularly with non-wood materials.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and material properties for metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
